I hope to have the choice, leaving that rock or having the colonists to think, "what was i anyways, i'm wanted back on my home or what i achieve here is more noticeable than it will ever be on the overcrowded civilized world from where i came", and being able to transform that little camp into a town with a regional influence, i'm thinking about Fallout 2 with the NCR and Vault City, when they begin to expand their influence over others settlements like Redding.

It imply of course that there will be other settlements, thing i personnaly believe, since multiple factions are implemented.

Or maybe, most of your colonists are rascals and you end up doing a pirate/raider hideout, big enough to hide and resupply some pirate space craft, and got a share of the loot.

In both case, it can become an eldorado, where someone may meet it fortune or demise, attracting poor souls that have nothing to lose and everything to win. Because, in the "civilized" world, they are already dead in some way.

At the end, it will all depend of the scale the game will have.

General Discussion / animal overpopulation
March 09, 2014, 10:54:44 AM
So after 364 days in my colony, i got so many animals on the map, that there is no more grass, only cactus, apart from where i protected my fields with walls. Fun thing, i don't need to hunt anymore since a lot of them die of starvation regularly. Muffalo were extinct like 3 times, but popped back after some time. Only bad things are that boomrat are exploding randomly around, and if a cargo crash, there is a big rush toward the food, that don't last more than a few minutes.

I don't know what to think about that, maybe add some natural predator or something to regulate the population, or just a limit of how many living animal of each species can be at the same time.

Or else. I would like to know about my other fellow colonists.

Bugs / Infinite silver [mantis]
March 07, 2014, 05:00:33 PM
Hello there,

found a way to get infinite amount of silver, it's only with the combat supplier i believe. I can sell them food at 2 and buy at one, so you just sell and buy back until they run out of cash. It might be because of the colonist i use, because she has 10 in social and i read it gives some bonuses in trade and such, but still.
