Unfinished / Re: Bone mod: Spooky Scary stuff.

That looks really great! That's exactly what I had in mind when I first read about what your mod was about. Excellent work! :D

So basically, the mod I want to make is literally to just change all the textures, in the same way a texture pack would work with minecraft.

    Here come the nooby questions:

    • Is it possible to do with the way rimworld is coded?
    • Is it reasonably easy to do as a noob just learning how to understand code?
    • Will I need any software to do it?
    • If I literally just swap out all the original graphics for my ones..will that mess any code up and cause things to break, that I will then be unable to fix?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

If they have no arms or legs how do they walk and hold guns :v

You make a valid point, but I'm just saying that's the way the sprites look- so the skeletons look a bit abnormal in relation to the rest of the graphics.

This is a great idea, but I have one small issue with it..the raiders don't actually have any arms or legs, so the fully human looking skeletons don't really fit with the rest of the art style. Have you considered just ribs and skulls for the bone pile?

Practise and practice are both pronounced the same here in the UK!

I think the fact is indestructible is pretty much the point of the mod. Rock walls are destructible, you could just fire at walls rather than use the target, since there'd be no difference then if the target could be destroyed.

General Discussion / Re: Alpha 3 release date?

Is there an update every month or is it just as and when Tynan decides to have one?

Anyone got a date rather than just 'April'?

Haha wow what an interpretation! I never see these things until they're too late heh :)

It means original post, or original poster :)

General Discussion / Re: My anti-multiplayer request

Fully with you here. Never in my substantial amount of hours playing have I ever thought 'multiplayer would be so awesome here!'- it really just has no place in rimworld.

I have a room called the scary shed. Its a small box where I keep all the corpses. If a colonist misbehaves they have to go stand in the scary shed for 1 hour. Every week I burn down the shed and make a new one.

I love this so much. The scary shed- what a name for a room of death! :')

A good tradeoff for a growth speed buff would be a 3-5% chance to poison your colonists, in the same way fire damage affects them.

Mods / Re: ( REQUEST ) some kind of de-corpseifyer

I tend to put them in gibbet cages to keep my colonists loyal, and with all the endless bodies I get from raids..I make a storage zone exclusively for human corpses at the opening to my Raider-Death-Box with all my turrets in. If there's a lot of raiders incoming, I set fire to the bodies with a molotov so the raiders are forced to climb over a pile of their burning dead. It's quite effective at dealing some damage before they even get in!

Yes, thats what I need :D

Would be really awesome, if you could do that :D

Do you want them to look the same as the tables that already exist, or smartened up a bit? :)

So you'd need tables that connected at every angle?

Left to Top, Bottom to right, a centre table that connects all ways, and 3 way connection tables?

Sounds more complicated than it is but it could be done. It's just very time consuming haha :)
