I use fueled generators as my main power source; they provide continuous power without the risk of short-circuiting, are unaffected by climate and make me feel like a fossil fuel villain.

Now, since most of my power goes towards feeding sunlamps -- I play on a tundra biome -- I find myself doing a lot of micromanaging whenever plants enter their resting period and I have to toggle the generators off to save wood, and back on in the morning .

What I would like is a mod that allows me to schedule certain generators to either be turned on and off by pawns at certain hours, or to just turn themselves off like the sunlamp.

Supes' Power Logic mod may be just what you're looking for.

QuoteLight Sensor Switch
This turns on when light level is low, this senses both sunlight and lamp lighting.

I might be wrong, but this mod only allows control of current flow, it won't actually turn on or off specific objects.

Yep an autoflickbox would be very handy.
You can build it like a hopper only next to the fueled generators.
Use 25W energy.
Flick the target off, when the powergrid got an overproduction of 1500, and turn the target on when it fall below 100.
And need a priority number, to prevent that all generators get flicked at once.
