Title: Getting black screen on start up.
Post by: benlogela on April 07, 2016, 09:04:20 AM
As soon as I start the new RimWorld 13 file it shows the title screen with a small message box very quickly and then goes to black. I waited about 5 mins seeing if it would download but nothing happened. I have Norton Antivirus and it has never caused me any trouble with RimWorld before with Alpha 12. Whatever other information you need I would be more than happy to provide. A little bummed I can't play yet.

Could you upload a log file? It will help to identify the bug.

Just upload it to this thread or some other area? It's pretty long.

You can attach a file here on the forums. Or you can use http://pastebin.com/ (http://pastebin.com/) if you want.

Ha sorry for the delay, slipped my mind that I could zip the file. Here you go.

Are you using any mods? Could you try deleting your mods config file and doing a fresh install and see if it helps? It looks like there are problems with mods not loading correctly.

Nope I never use mods. But alright, I'll try reinstalling again. Thanks for looking into it though.

Worked when I did a new install. Weird. Well, thank you again. :)

Glad it helped. It seems that some dlls were corrupted, don't know why.
