As far as I know colonists have a max health of 100. Somehow I got one with 150 max health, and no I didnt edit a save file!

They are Tough. Along with Runner, it's one of two traits that actually do something.
Ah but I thought traits didnt do anything in this version

In 99% of cases they don't.
Ah ok
is there a list of the few traits that do have affects?
Apparently 'Tough' and 'Runner' are the two traits to do something, as Tynan said a few posts above.
Tough increases the max colonist health to 150HP.
Runner makes the colonist move faster. Even over a short distance (tested roughly 15 tiles) the runner got 3 tiles ahead of the non-runner.
From the Wiki (http://rimworldwiki.com/Traits)
Trait: Gunslinger
ID: QuickShoot
Description: "Half aim time under 4 range. This person knows how to draw and aim a gun with blinding speed. It doesn't help at range, but when the target is close, this person always gets the shot off first."

I disabled that while debugging the shooting. It was tough to maintain.
