I think that beds don't have to be owned by a single colonist. It has to be like a piece of food, reserved and used by the nearest sleepiest colonist just for that sleep time.

How about having an action for beds similar to colonist/prisoner reservation but for visitors?
The visitor could reserve the bed and while the bed exist and have access to food and the mood level it's ok they stay at colony and wander arround.

You can obtain the MakeDoTools deconstructing the pods where your colonist land. The compact research station can't be produced, spawns where u land and u can deconstruct it and becomes an item that you can construct somewhere else

Same problem here. Randy is no running events at all. I made 3 colonies since last mod update, play 50 or 60 days in each and can count 4 or 5 events in every game, at early beginning.

I started a new randy colony today but im at day 60 and no events happend, just some sparking oil lamps and short circuits in rain... no merchants arrived, no attacks. Anyone can confirm this?

Maybe, the penalties for this things are ok in general terms. Could be nice to see more colonist traits in game to deal with it.
A violent trait, surgeons or doctors don't have to be so affected by seeing a body.

I have noticed many people on the forums who are concerned about the fact of losing the colony in the hands of the storyteller's hordes after a while of playing.
I love Rimworld the way it is, but always left with a bitter taste every time I lose the colony and I have to start over from the scratch.
After several loses, I got the idea that the game could be focused on that piece of land in Rimworld and not in the colony.
It would be interesting once our colonists are destroyed by the bad guys, launched to space or anytime the legend "keep looking" shows up, an event could make that we can take control of another faction that could keep the history of Rimworld running.
Every faction with they own level of tech and events. For example, tribals could have problems and events related to the use of the hi-tech devices, more explotions from batteries and lamps, the turrets might get bugged and could attack them, but with more knowledge from native flora to make healing powders or a way to call nearby natives to help in combat.
If pirates takes the map, they can have more events related to combat with the other factions, and so on. A never ending Rimworld story ;)
I know all this thing could be difficult to made or even impossible, but under my point of view, this kind of gameplay could turn Rimworld in one of the best games I ever played!
