Look into the AI code that tells pawns to put on apparel. The classes you should look at are those with 'Job' in the name (iirc). There might be some method that runs when a job is completed, which could allow you to do what you're trying to.

I'm currently working on a mod that is pretty much this. My take is a little different though, like thinking of the 'rafts' as 'ships' instead. The functionality is very much feasible to implement, and so far I have some of the basics finished. Still, there is a lot of room different ideas, so let me know if you think of anything good!  ;)

Ever wonder what's the point of having hotkeys if you have to click through a menu to use them?
Well now you don't (most of the time) have to!


DE Hotkeys

This mod makes the order hotkeys work when you are not in the order menu. The hotkeys are disabled whenever you are in another menu that involves hotkeys so that they do not interfere with the menu that is open. The mod also adds two new hotkeys which did not previously have their own keys: J to harvest wood and Z to uninstall buildings. This makes it easy to quickly designate some trees to be cut down or some stone to be mined.

Unzip the contents and put them in your RimWorld\Mods folder, then activate the mod in the game's mod menu.
