One colonists suddenly needed rescue. He was in pain shock and has been for a few days.

I can't figure out why. Is there any way to see why? Nothing special happened and there was no combat.

Can debug mode tell me why?

He has gut worms but his pain is only at 20% and nothing on his health tab indicates why he would be in pain shock or how to get him up again.

Wimp?

Indeed.

So I guess he will be in pain shock until his gut worms go away? How long can that take? There is no indication of immunity, like with other diseases.

Is it random?

SpaceDorf

A bit random, it takes at least 5-6 good treatments until they go away ..

I swear, the wimp trait is now the worst one in the game. Seriously, at least pyromaniacs can be thwarted by stone buildings and non-flammable tiles.

SpaceDorf

Why you say that ?
That Wimp is totally thwarted and wont do anything.
I had the same problem once, I rescued and recruited a Wimp because he had some nice skills ..
but the dude did not get out of bed for months because he had two scars.

Precisely the problem at hand here. If your only doctor is a wimp who banged his shins on a coffee table and is now screaming in agony rather than treating the plague of your best warrior, you're not going to have a good time.

But it also leads to the shortest social fights you have ever seen.

Ehh, social fights are pretty infrequent, and they're also very short already in my experience.

You can use a wimp person as a suicide molotover against infestation.

Still you have to admit the thought of a Wimp Fight is hilarious .. one punch each and they colapse in agony.

I like the trait on an abstract level but now that I've seen it in reality...
I might have to euthanase him. This is my small caravan second settlement with 3 people ( 1 died in a raid) , They're in a desert and low on food. I can't just have him lying there.

I might try surgery to remove his stomach. Not sure how a pawn survives without a sumach but we'll see.

He'll probably die during surgery though. The doctor isn't very good, and I don't have a proper hospital in this mini outpost.
