Mods / [Mod Request] Mapwide Insect Invasion
January 06, 2018, 04:08:21 PM
Basically starts off as an event like any other raid or psychic ship, two to three hives appear RANDOMLY on the map (not centralized in your base like normal infestations) before spreading rapidly. The insects will not seek you out but will instead remain where they are unless they begin spreading in your direction (Or unless you piss them off). If left alone for too long, they could possibly have hives all over the map.

Help / Problems converting mod from a8 (Graphical)
April 25, 2015, 01:49:01 PM
So I've ran into a problem converting a sunlamp mod I made back for a8, the problem is that the graphics now appear compressed and fuzzy ingame, I've addressed all bugs logged in the console and have not changed the graphic itself since a8, and I absolutely cannot figure out why it's doing this.

Comparison,

A8

Adds UV-light floor installations that can light up your crops with the cost of less materials, power consumption,
and coverage than your average sun lamp.

Code is here, absolutely  no conflicts in the debugs, mod is enabled and I just can't figure out why it isn't showing up as a build option.

Outdated / [MOD] (Alpha 8) Guns+ (v2.1)
December 17, 2014, 08:51:16 PM

Guns+ is a small gun modification that adds several vanilla-friendly guns to RimWorld's armaments!

1920 Thompson

A short to mid range submachine gun that fires just a few more bullets than an LMG but is much weaker in comparison.

Carbine

A mid to long range rifle that allows the handler to fire in a rather quick succession but lacks the firepower of a long-ranged sniper.

M78 Grenade Launcher

A short to mid range grenade launcher capable of firing grenades faster and further than you can throw them, however the pipe bombs remain a tad weaker than their thrown counterparts.

.357 Revolver

Stronger than a pistol with some range to boot, this variant sure isn't lacking in the firepower department, however the only thing keeping it down is its firerate.

C-31 Blaster
Accompanied by decent damage and some fairly nice range, this gun makes it a favorite for those mid to long-range fights, only drawback is that it fires a tad slower than most charged rifles.

R-70 Mini
A close to mid-range charged SMG that fires a burst of 6 shots per round though the handling is rather difficult.

B-17 Charge Scope
A high-power long ranged charge sniper rifle capable of dispatching enemies from an incredible distance with the fire-rate being its only drawback.

Changes
(V2.1) - Sound changes, added charged weapons, added trigger to revolver graphic, reduced size of Thompson barrel grip.

Help / Workaround for alpha bleeding textures?
December 14, 2014, 07:19:48 PM
While messing with textures I've discovered that no matter what I do, the images created and saved as PNGs will always have alpha bleeding (To my knowledge, that is). I find this incredibly annoying since all of the textures I've been creating have been showing up in-game was some rather unpleasant alpha bleeding artifacts around the props.

Pictured below you can see the nasty white speckles as a result of the alpha bleeding in PNGs, so my question is if anyone here knows of a workaround for such a thing

Help / (HELP) Modded turret bases are incredibly small
December 13, 2014, 08:47:21 PM
So I've been fiddling around with some the files in the Turrets Pack mod and decided to give it at a go at coverting them from a7 to a8.

So far I've stomped every bug and have made the mod fully compatible with a8 except for one issue, bases for the turrets are so terribly small that you can't even see them, and I have no idea why this is.

Admittedly, I've never done this before, so I'm surprised I've gotten as far as this, but I would appreciate any help I can get to figure this problem out.
