Bugs / ZZZT During Solar Flare
February 11, 2017, 08:56:16 PM
I'm not sure if this is really a bug but it doesn't seem to make much sense. If a solar flare disables all electrical power how could I get a ZZZT?

Bugs / Mods all disappeared and now wont re "download"
February 07, 2017, 06:18:38 PM
This isnt a bug from a specific mod so i figured i could put it here. I run quite a few mods and the other night i fired up Rimworld and noticed that none of my mods were on, so i went to the mod list and in place of the mods i had it just says "Downloading..." But they were already downloaded and the night before i was using them just fine. No crashes or bugs appeared. Just out of the blue all my mods were "gone". If i go to any of the mods pages on steam workshop its still says im subscribed to them. idk if this is my computer f-ing things up or if maybe a patch messed things up. REALLY want to use my mods again so please let me know if this is a known issue or just my computer screwing things up.

Thanks, Nate.

Ideas / Insulated Walls
February 07, 2017, 04:14:17 PM
With all the talk about the Sea Ice Challenge I started thinking. Could we implement an insulated wall? Either as an upgrade or as a standalone option in the structure tab. I haven't been on the fourm in a while up until about a week ago so maybe this has already been brought up. Just thought this could add a little more depth that could be fairly easy because i know that insulation properties are already in the game. Walls could use cloth/wool to add insulation, wool being more effective. It could be fairly expensive and not OP to stop abuse. But It would be nice to be able to button up things a bit better. especially freezers. What do you guys think?

Ideas / Prisoner food vs Colonist food
April 26, 2015, 05:05:31 PM
I'd like to be able to select what my prisoners eat so they don't eat all my fine/lavish meals. I'd like to feed them nutrient paste and save the good stuff for my people. Actually It would be nice to pick what each colonist eats. So I could have "slaves" haha. Just an idea. Just have a menu like the stockpile menu that let's you decide what they can consume.

I'd like to see some sort of food preservation other than freezing food. This would remove the need of oversized freezers that require lots of coolers and space when your colonies grow to larger populations. Canning food seems to be the most realistic/feasible option. The foods could even still spoil but over long periods of time making them great for emergency situations or a reserve supply for when the long winter months get your food supply low. And to keep this from being OP it could require a meal instead of raw ingredients to be canned maybe even only fine or lavish meals.

General Discussion / Double Beds??? Why?
March 16, 2015, 01:35:21 AM
What are the big beds for? They provide no bonus nor two people, it seems like a waste of space and resources. There could be plenty of uses but non have been implicated yet. Why have them?

Ideas / Colonist "ranks"
March 16, 2015, 12:18:00 AM
I'd like to see colonist have "ranks" or social classes. Like have a "mayor", or "president" and other possible roles in the colony. Such as dedicated military personal with specific ranks. The player could decide who is more deserving to get these roles and the colonists with these roles could also have an effect on other people or enemies/prisoners. I don't really know what these effects could be or how to set it up but I thought it would be a cool edition. That way your colony isn't strictly a socialist/communistic society. I understand that the whole point is to escape but it seems like they would need some sort of structure.

I was thinking and a possible example of an effect would be in combat for instance, having a SGT or LT in combat with Privates would boost their moral and fighting ability and seeing a higher ranked colonist die or become severely injured would drastically decrease their moral and combat effectiveness. This of course would be dependent on how that colonist is effected by psychiatric problems. This could go so in depth and could make the game really complicated I understand that but I think if it could be kept simple and effective it would make the game a lot more sensible.

Having a mayor/military leader/ law enforcer (nerfs abrasive/lazy ect traits when in sight)/ doctor/ect would make the group function more realistically. Just a thought I had. I'd love to see what other people think. Thanks.
