Hey there, i am always confused, eveytime i build a fridge with one freezer, it never stay at the temp i want.
So i always have to build more freezer and sometimes i set them to -200°C, i mean why they don't freeze that?
If i want -10°C, i set it to that, but it never freezed to that temp, i always have to set like -50°C or more, sometimes if i build a bit larger freezer i have to set alle 3 freezer to like -200°C and the room is just freezed down to like -15°C, it is very weird, can you explain to me how it works?
Also why can heater "freeze"? should they not only allowed to heat?
I talk about rooms which have a size of 4x4 or 6x6.

I hope you get my point, freezer never work how they should, or am i doing something wrong?
Even if i create a 2x1 sized room with one freezer and a door in it, it never hold the -10°C, it always change, but why, the door never get open, because i was storing med. in it.
Is there some trick?!

P.S. it would be so great, if the floor help the freezer, like if you choose metal, the room would be "cooler".
Also it seems ventilators does nothing to freezer, but in real life they help spread the cooling in that room.

I would totaly love to have the option to visit the other fractions and maybe steal some stuff or colonists.
But sadly, you can't do anything else except beeing on your map.
Would be great to have added random fractions from other players maps/creations.

But seriously, the names of the fractions are always weird sick...at least in german.

Well, i try to get 3 Psychopaths because they don't care corpses or if i take some of the bodyparts of prisoners.
And it can take very long to get the 3 Psychopaths i want.
Also it is everytime a challenge, because there comming new colonists which are very random.

Don't get me wrong, this game is one of the best i have played the last 10 years.
But after like 2 days, the game gets boring very fast and i start all over.
I love the details with the hit-system, but after researched everything and build everything good, there should something more.
So i was thinking and thinking, what could make the game more exciting.

-  The first which come to my mind was traveling, why not giving the player the ability to attack the OTHER fractions or change the map and come back at any time? That would be great!
So it would be great giving the player the ability to build like a car or something, so they can move from one place to another, but the car need fuell, like wood or coal (coal will be created if wood is burning)

- Also blueprints would be great, if you could buy and find blueprints of ANY item, i mean you can only buy some stuff like the lovely BTL-Chip and other armors.
It would help keeping the fun of the game, if you could find more and more stuff to research and build, instead of waiting days for the trader or something.

- More operations, i love the operations[med.]system, it would be great, if you could get more stuff from them, like nose, ears and on.

- more furniture, would be great to have more stuff to make the colonists feel better or entertain them

After watching some other games, i get some ideas for Rimworld and i would love to see them.

First, these robots have to be researched like the spaceship, each one.
But not only robots, why not some farming devices?
- Whats about a wooden or metal plow, that increase the farming speed?
- Or a scythe that increase the farming speed of the colonist who use it?

Robots:
- Cleaner robot, looks kinda likethis you have to research that robot, to build it, you need steel, after you have build it, you kinda can handle the cleaner like a animal, you can not train it, but you can give him areas he is allowed to clean, also he needs energy, so you have to put a recharge-station in the area he is, otherwise he will be disabled.
Oh and the cleaner can not clean boulders/debris/pebble, just things like vomit, blood and on.
The rechargestation ofc recharge, but also cost power while charge the robot(s)
- Farmbot, this works like the cleaner, but instead of cleaning it...you guessed it, it will farm the plants and on and move it to the storage. to build the farmbot you need steel ofc but also knifes, the better the knife, the better the farming results.
After a time, the robots knifes get damaged, so you can repair him, like a sentry which is shoot.
- minerbot, mine ore and works the same as the others bots, it needs steel and power.
- repairbot, repairs stuff and works the same as the others bots, it needs steel and power.



Now you may think, this is overpowered and on, but the robots need a lot of steel and need energy (at least farmbot and minerbot)

Hey there.
While playing there come some ideas in my mind, some are maybe to much work to program.
first i have to say, english is not my primary language so it could sound rubbish.
- more plants, i like the amount of plants, but i would like some more vegetables or beans, tomatos and beans would be great or some food with more nutrient
- guitar, [need:Silk+wood+maybe steel], can be placed and used like a 'Horseshoes Pin' it increase the joy in a special range, maybe the game music stops and the guitar is playing
- fence, works like a wall, but with the big difference it has no affect on temperatures, it does not change them, also light can go through
- childs or baby's would be very nice, to get more colonists beside slaves or random events.
- windows, kinda works like the ventilator but they let a bit light in if connected to "outside".
- Shooting Target [need:wood] would be great to let them practice shooting and melee
- Medicine Dummy [need:rubber tree+medicine ] and rubber tree
- if you make the A.i. a bit smarter later(?), it would be great if we could create some walls with holes, so the colonists can shoot through, instead of creating a wall for each material, you could use the door system and holes can be placed? [need:steel]
- a fridge, im not sure whats with the temperature system, but it is weird, it would be great to also have a fridge as a furniture, it could work like a coffin, you could place up to 3 stacks of food or something in it?
- selling with visitor, it would be great if you could trade with the visitor who meet you from time to time
for that you could maybe place a tradingstand?
thats all for now...not much and not very new, i guess a lot of people got these ideas.

I enjoy running with one colonist they are attacking around a rock, while all my other colonists shoot them :P

I don't say, i don't like Rimworld graphics at all, it could be worse and hands are not thaaaat important.
If you take a look at the images/textures of the game, the quality is very diffrent, from very good quality (wood texture) to very low (most animals, players and on).
I would like to get some official answer about this, will the team work on the graphics (player and on) or not?

no, seriously, look at for example Project Zomboid:

It is made by two guys, who get their Source code stolen, but they do work since years on that game and it looks very nice for a two man project.
Rimworld has a very nice gameplay elements, but the graphics are kinda snes, yes there outside people who like the style, but whats the problem with like hands, or feet so you can actually see them changing? I don't talk about graphics YET, i talk about if they will be better on release or at least will there be hands, or will this game never evolve with graphics? :P
Oh and the graphics are at all very weird, the wood texture is very nice and good, but the others looks like made with windows paint and 16 colors, thats weird.
Maybe a fan made mod with hands? :P

Creating the assets for hands/legs and especially animating them (hands probably individually for every possible action there is in the game) is an enormous amount of work for the artists and a lot of fiddling around programming wise. The way it currently is you can get away with it without having 3 trillion animations. And as long as the general artstyle is persistent, there is no issue with that (at least for most people, I guess).
Sorry but thats totaly bs... take a look at prison architect, they do have hands, it's not that hard...they can up and down, nothing more, you don't need fingers.

First i love this game but i have one question about it because i could not found any informations on the FAQ or web.
Will you change(/increase the quality of) the graphics and add stuff like visible hands and legs on later/final release?
What speaks against high quality graphics?
