Ideas / Re: Tone down centipedes?

This isn't remotely realistic vs armies of them.  Vs one, fine, but when 6+ show up at your door, you aren't going to win by meleeing, even if you could teleport on top of them.

Ideas / Re: Changes needed to Sieges

I'm referring mostly to times before a sniper rifle has shown up in the game.  Primarily the first ~30 minutes of a game.  I've been sieged before I got my hands on a fourth guy.

Also, in respect to the defensive siege vs tactical firearms... I've been playing on the largest maps - which maybe wasn't a great idea.  My choice was made to reduce armies spawning inside my base.  The problem with the largest maps is that you actually can't cross the map to do anything.  It's large enough, that your guys are likely to starve/tire before they get back, even if all they were doing was grab something off the ground, let alone engage in combat.

Ideas / Changes needed to Sieges

1) When you destroy sandbags / mortars with your own mortars, it creates metal which is not forbidden.  If you are distracted, your dudes will suicide into their army to get the metal.

2a) Sometimes sieges occur way too early.  Twice now, I've played for about ~30 min only to have a siege spawn before I've researched mortars.  I don't know about anyone else's opinion on this, but pulling out siege research early on the off chance you might get unlucky like this is kind of silly.

2b) You can't possibly win an attack against a siege without mortars.  I'm fairly sure this is the case at any point in the game, but especially so early on.  That, or I have no idea what I'm doing in this game (despite succeeding at making a ship 3 times).  I feel like this is also the solution to 2a.  The early sieges need to be comprised of smaller groups of guys, and maybe not build sandbags.

I have thoroughly enjoyed playing this game, even after "beating" it, only to see how much longer I can survive.  But, that said, the game is currently too random, and certain event timings can instantly lose you the game, without a realistic decision that could have changed the outcome.  Not cool.
