hi im running the hardcore sk mod pack and i keep crashing due to a oom error from the logs is there a way for the game to use more ram even if it was how kerbal space program did it via using the gpu's vram?

or is there another way to free up ram other then making the app 64bit

Canute

Currently the only way to made Rimworld 64 bit is to play it on linux.
Maybe read this topic.

On windows you need to play HCSK on small world and the map shouldn't be bigger then standard.

Mewth

okay ill keep that in mind but atm ive fround using the runtimeGC mod to reclaim memory to keep things running

and how dose linux let rimworld run as 64x when is 32bit unless it was made that way? or is it code trickery

Canute

Looks like you didn't read the thread i mention.
Linux don't got any 32 bit applications anymore, so anything you compile under linux is 64 bit.
Too bad the code isn't that easy exchangeable.
