1.  Incapable of violence - This means a person cannot defend him/herself but can butcher animals.  It would make a lot more sense if this was changed to incapable of shooting as there is no such thing as incapable of violence in the real world unless you have buddhist-monk skill 20.

Butchering a corpse isn't really violence. If you ask them to slaughter a tamed animal, they will still refuse to do it.

Is the battery located in the homezone? Only stuff in the homezone will be repaired.

That was the problem, thanks a tonne!

General Discussion / Breakdown event
September 05, 2016, 08:30:02 AM
I can't figure out how to repair a piece of equipment after it stopped working due to a "breakdown" event. One of my batteries is down, but no one seems to ever bother fixing it despite their repair priority being set at "1", and I have plenty of resources.

What am I doing wrong?

General Discussion / Storing old clothes

Is there a point in hauling and storing every piece of tattered clothing from raiders, or are they just a waste of space? Is there any way of turning clothes back into textiles?

So apparently emergency work does indeed not have the highest priority. I will recheck this when I get my next fire.
Either way, it's just another outcome of needs having no priority, like not getting killed by an enemy can be less important than having no ugly sandbags arround.
The fire was outside the home area, so the priorities didn't matter. It was still an extremely silly thing to do.

The AI could definitely do with some improving. I had a person decide that he wants to go "cloudwatching" adjacent to a raging inferno.

On a related note, I'd love it if prioritized tasks ignored work priority allocations. Right now, I have to open work tab -> enable work -> select pawn to prioritize task -> disable work in work tab after they've finished with the task. This can be so much simpler.

Ideas / The ability to rename bills.
July 30, 2016, 10:42:56 PM
I think that renaming bills would be very helpful with managing bills in any workbench. For example, "make marble stone blocks" and "make limestone stone blocks" instead of just "make stone blocks" for both.

Ideas / Activity in colonist bar

I think that showing the colonists' current activity just below their names in the colonist bar would be a great improvement of life.

Ideas / Escape pod rescue
July 30, 2016, 11:30:04 AM
As far as I understand, rescuing people from escape pods gives you absolutely no benefit over capturing them or simply ignoring them altogether, since they just walk away after you heal them. I think rescuing someone from an escape pod should at least provide a morale boost to make the option considerable. Or, perhaps, rescued people should have a chance to immediately become part of the settlement based on the quality of the treatment they received and the conditions they were in.

General Discussion / Raspberry harvesting
July 29, 2016, 11:47:08 PM
Hello, I am a noopi, and I have a couple of questions

It appears that harvesting raspberry bushes success depends on the "grow" skill, since that skill is rising when attempting to harvest. But anyone will go and harvest the berries, regardless if they have "growing" selected or not in the work screen.

Is this intentional? Am I missing something?

Also, is there any way to get people to eat one type of food over another? What exactly is it that determines what they're going to grab to eat?

pls and ty
