Is there any point to plant crops under toxic fallout?

The game just hate me, at the end of winter drop poison ship and then blight on my tribe. Now snow finally melted, but is there any point to plant crops? Grass seems all die.

No, they will die like grass if you plant them at unroofed area.

You need a roofed area, and a light source (sunlamp).
