Title: (A13.1135) Maddened animals avoid all deadfall traps
Post by: Chyenne_Manry on April 18, 2016, 11:01:51 PM
Across several colonies and worlds, every maddened animal has avoided dead-fall traps like colonists and tamed animals.

Whenever I put a checkerboard pattern of traps and empty spaces in a choke point, maddened animals avoid the traps 100% of the time, whether they are tamed, wild, or from the manhunter event.  Raiders, mechanoids, and wild animals react to traps normally.

I would understand tamed animals avoiding traps in the maddened state, but wild and manhunter animals should not know where the traps are.

If you restrict colonists behind a choke point, build a checkerboard pattern of traps in said choke point, and trigger a manhunter event, they will avoid every dead-fall trap.

It seems that wild animals avoid traps too, it just sometimes happens that they path to the exact cell where a trap is so they have no choice. I think Tynan should address this.

Well, wild animals are supposed to avoid traps, otherwise they constantly trigger traps and make them useless.

So the bug would be: wild animals avoid traps even when maddened.

I've solved it, thank you!
