SISTER ALBINA
I am usually very quiet and kind person, but this constantly depressive btch made me really angry today! All week I was trying to be nice to her despite all her looks and faces. And what do I get in return? She opens her dirty mouth at me! I just lost it and beat all the crap out of her... I agree it was a bit too much, but I do not regret! Instead I even feel better now. Sis.Estelle got very upset about our fight and as soon as Sis.Albina recover her health, she sends both of us to Br.Snay for confession. I hope she keeps her mouth shut until then, especially on our way there. Otherwise I may just kill her! Oh, how am I going to become a nun having such an evil heart?

An interesting concept. Good luck with it!
Thank you!

WHITEROCK CONVENT
That morning I had to leave from Br.Snay, I got food poisoning and he let me stay for one more day. The following morning, I left around 7 am and it took me about four hours to get to Whiterock Convent, where I met Sister Estelle and Sister Albina. For some reason they were not too happy to see me. Sis.Estelle was kind but seemed cautious with me, while Sis.Albina did not like me at all and looked hostile. They gave me obedience at stonecutter's table and the rest of the day I was cutting granite blocks for Sis.Estelle, - she works on construction of our rooms and defenses. When she heard how desperate is the situation with Br.Snay (he convinced me even to take his only ranged weapon to have some protection on my way), Sis.Estelle decided to visit him tomorrow to help with some construction projects and return his revolver to him. Br.Snay is a very nice man: caring for sisters, he sent with me 10 packs of herbal medicine for them, and I noticed how they were touched. Despite his settlement is only four hours away, it is a different biome and things like plants and animals are quite different here and there.

To be able to produce or to buy some pills helping with food poisoning would be nice...

This has been patched.

I'm amazed no one mentioned this. Reverted?

Wow! How nice! No construction skills needed for Campfire in 1.0! And level 4 required to build an Electric Stove. I am glad it moves in right direction. Thanx!

IMO, a campfire shouldn't have a construction skill base above 1 if anything.  We mastered fire a loooonnnnnggggg time ago as a species.  For realisms sake, a fueled stove still needs a fire to cook its food, so the pawn is somehow magically making fire for that...  Same with torches...

From a gameplay mechanic side of things, tribals, naked start, an 'I lost everything and need to recover on a new tile', type of scenarios need at least a basic way to cook food if you roll a pawn with 0 construction.

Thank you! (for understanding)  8)

BROTHER SNAY
Brother Snay saved my life today! I was chased by a pirate and he kindly offered me his protection. The bad guy was equipped with a revolver, but Br. Snay had only one knife, so we made an ambush in his living room and attacked the pirate from close distance. I jumped at his face while Br.Snay approached him from the back and killed him with his knife. "It is not good to kill, - he said, - but if someone comes with this intention, we must protect ourselves". While I was treating his wounds, he told me that I will not be able to stay here, because in their monastic order women live separately from men, and if I want to join them, I may go to Whiterock Convent half day journey from here. I offered him my help for at least a couple of days, because I feel sorry for him: he is all alone here with only one knife (well, and with a revolver now) and he can not even make a campfire for himself or build a trap (for some reason in this Rimworld building a campfire require more skills then building an electrical stove for example, or any other piece of furniture – I could never understand it myself), but he said I must leave in the morning. So, I decided to see how sisters live there and possibly stay with them? Monastic life always seemed mysterious to me... let's give it a try!

TBF, not that I personally like any skill checks for construction, have you ever tried to make a campfire without a match (even with one)?  It's way harder than it looks.
I agree that making a campfire might be a challenge. But could it be more difficult then building an electrical stove?  :o

Is there any logical explanation why for construction Electric Stove (and other production/furniture pieces) you do not need any contraction skill but for Campfire you need minimum skill 3?

This was the first thought I had after looking at the first picture: fire. My last colony was destroyed this way. So, Kiddies, learn your lesson: build your colony from stone instead of wood!  ;)

Boxer rat!!!

My colonist had to fight a mad rat and he got such a strong kick of her left front paw that his jaw cracked!  ;D

Last Report from Strapping.

Day 91. I am shot by a Scyther. I am writing this and I feel like life is leaving my body. We failed, this colony is going to be destroyed... His pod landed again in the middle of our base, avoiding our traps and defenses... And we lost... we lost this fight...

THE END

Thanx for reading!  :'(

First Short Report by Lyndsy.

Day 81. I feel very bad and lonely. The mechanoids are destroyed by travelers, but at what cost: 12 dead bodies scattered all over our base and this drives me crazy. Using frag granedes I found on one of the bodies, I managed to destroy the ship part. So many things happened. We spent about 10 days in our new settlement up North and we were attacked there by Scyther, which killed Strapping's wife Samantha. And then another raid. Some of us were killed and some lost their mind... Now there are only 2 colonists alive: me (at our main base) and Strapping (at the north settlement). He is sick and do not want to take risks of traveling before he feels better. But he must hurry, winter is coming - it is 8th of Fall...

In my most recent game I encountered a decent sized (friendly)tribal caravan. Having several colonists with Power Armour, Snipers, and Mini Guns. I relieved the caravan of it's goods and captured the survivors, with a mod I harvested every internal organ I could and sealed the prisoners in a massive mine, they mined until starvation, and berserk rages, killed them, I then opened the mine took the resources they mined, and fed the flesh of the prisoners to the other slaves who were farming my colonies drug farm, and to my organ farm slaves.
The humanity is very lucky you are not ruling a real life colony! LOL

First Short Report by Phantum.

Day 71. I woke up in the middle of the night with terrible headache after my mental break (tantrum) and I was sorry to find out that Sammy is affected by it right now: he is going crazy braking everything on his way. Lindcy in a medical bed with a mental breack (catatonic) as well. I remember yesterday we were forming a caravan to escape those mechanoids guarding their ship part in our yard, but Lindsy went crazy and then I lost it also to this psychic attack. Strapping and his wife Samantha are not here - they probably left leaving us behind... and I do not blame them for that. I hope they went to the same destination as we planned it yesterday morning, because I am leaving right now. I feel sorry for Sammy and Lindcy, but I also feel if I stay for another hour this more powerful psychic drone will kill me. I grabbed as much food as I could and I am leaving this deadly place hoping to find Strapping and Samantha...
