And maybe even the other way around :o
I was scourging the web with no purpose, as it's supposed to be done, and I found this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PB9E_cJ2omQ
http://www.maiagame.com/about.php
Maia was based more around Dungeon Keeper in general, rather then just dwarf fortress.
Probably, but it resembles RimWorld a lot nonetheless... or at least its concepts (building a colony in an unfriendly place, digging in stone, growing plants, harvesting food, stocking power... the list goes on).
British you dont get cookies.
Another night i wont get work done. I must have this game now even if it would just mean an extra adition to my steam library
Moved to off-topic (see board description).
Sorry boss, won't happen again ! :'(
No worries man! Just keeping things tidy.

Fixed, ;)
Also Maia looks pretty good, I bought the alpha and from what i've played I'd say it has a lot of potential.

Still on the subject of colony-building thingies (that's all the rage nowadays !):

I took a look into both games and must say.. 3D is sooo overrated!
With the first impressions they gave me, I am glad I backed this game rather than any of them. :)

I backed Rimworld and Maia :)
The whole building a colony on a frontier world thing has always interested me. I'm also a Maia backer. I'm not as impressed with Terminus, though.

atm im quite disspointed with maia since it chrashes every 2 minutes
OK, I took a look into the second video. There Maia looks a bit better.
In the first it looked more like a horror game or something like that. I don't really like horror games..
I admit that the second video looks a bit more interesting. But still I don't know.. is it worth to buy it?

Alpha is alpha, it is no representation of the final game, be a bit more patient. ;)

Yep I got the same problem. I'm just waiting it out a little.
I've backed both games, but I must admit - I haven't actually tried out Maia yet. Completely forgot to try it with my current backlog of games. :)
Yeah, I'm actively deciding to not play Maia for a while, waiting for it to get a bit more stable and be more of a game. Its not perfect yet by a long shot, but it -is- an alpha.
