Title: Ability to save defensive positions
Post by: Cazakatari on March 04, 2015, 04:01:06 PM
When you're first starting it isn't so much of a problem, but as you get to 10+ colonists and a proper defensive line it is rather tedious to micromanage everyone to their proper position before/during an attack.

It would be nice if you could set a position for each colonist, and after setting off an ''alarm'' all drafted colonists are automatically sent to their pre-set position.  Another nice touch would be you could set an ''alarm'' zone, out of which no undrafted colonist will exit while the alarm is ongoing (especially useful before attackers are close so you don't have that one idiot waltzing into enemy fire to grab a piece of steel you forgot you un-prohibited)

I feel this would take the annoying micro-management out of mid-late game battles

Hello,

Awesome suggestion, and it would surely be a good addition to the base game. Until then, why not try out the mod "Battle Stations" found here:

I think you will be pleased with it.

Cheers,
Michael
