Title: Pendrive Support
Post by: Listen1 on May 18, 2015, 10:19:20 PM
Well, i'm playing rimworld at work. Productivity dropped 62%.

But i'd like to play it on my pendrive, then I can use the same save I have home at work.

Is there a way that I can do this?

Rimworld stores its save files in Users->Name->Appdata->LocalLow so while you could *run* Rimworld from a pendrive you wouldn't have access to the same files.

The World and Save files are small, you could easily transfer them from place to place, bit fiddly but certainly doable.

Haha, nice working ^^ You can just transfer world file, and save file on the pendrive. Search for support topic to more info.

Save data path can now be modified using a command line switch for easy USB installs and other such cases.

He heard me! Alpha 11 will be really awesome.

And if you really wanted to, you could set up a folder sync to keep multiple machines in sync with your saves.

Work might block your write access to %appdata% though.
