Title: Mod request speed
Post by: mokonasakura on July 18, 2015, 04:51:34 PM
I'm sure its been posted before but after playing this game for some time I'm getting very annoyed that I cant set the speed to 3x during a fight. I love how it slows down when a fight happens so I know when something happened but I just cant stand being forced to play at normal speed during an easy fight that will take 5 minutes.

Yeah, I don't know how possible it is but if you do end up getting it, remember to savescum, because you're likely to have a colonist die from going x3 speed as he gets bullets shot at him.

Or, when you get grenades lobbed at your pacifist whom you did not know was a pacifist but put on the battlefield anyways ._.

Hence why Tynan doesn't let you go faster then x1 speed, as eventually everyone would end up with dead colonists and shit that happened but have no idea how it happened because it went in a blur.

I agree with having the speed enabled, because when you have a nice funnel system that leads intruders right into turrets you don't want to wait for them all to die, so it would help if you could just speed it up.

And nobody is forcing the more "Slower" people to download it either, it would be interesting to see this happen.

I think Tynan could have implemented it, but when something happens it first slows down automatically, and you can choose yourself to speed it up. That shouldn't be too odd or hard?

It's because people would decide to do it anyways, and then end up having it happen to them multiple times, as everyone would speed through fights. A mod? Okay. Core game, he won't change it.

Well if something doesn't go as it should, then reload a auto save! And I am indeed sure that Tynan would not change the core game, but a mod would be wonderful, I am just not sure if it is possible, because after 12 alpha's, there still isn't a mod for it.
