Wouldn't it be brilliant if, one day, instead of having a load of annoying tribesmen attacking you, or high-tech sapper groups with frankly creepy names tunnelling into your base, you could fight against... well, let's just say a smarter type of raider. For example, I could initiate a raid on someone else's colony with my colonists, and fight the best war ever!
As beautiful an idea as it might be, there are complications.
Also, this is a very frequently suggested topic :/
Unfortunately CB, you are right! It would take years of work from Tynan, and a lot of people wouldn't like it. Anyway, it's still a possibility, even if very distant!
we would like this but its more likely to not gonna happen in this game its a difficult feature to implement
maybe in 1 or 2 years Tynan might consider it but still that is just a hope
Hi, Louis here,
NemesisN, I am not really too big on multiplayer games anyway. The main purpose of this thread is just to see what my fellow rimworlders made of the idea.
or make the world a persistent world where if we made a colony earlier on planet A and suddenly decides to leave it and make a new one, that previous colony would become an outlander colony on that planet A.
Multiplayer is on the frequently suggested list. Check it for the link to the discussion.
I prefer this game as single player. I think MP is going to lean heavily towards competitive RTS type gameplay, which is definitely interesting to think about how different it would be, but also not really the direction the game is going.
If Tynan can do it easily (relatively speaking of course), go for it, but otherwise I'd prefer his scant resources be directed at the core game for now. We still could use a lot more content and at least a few more features.
