Title: [0.12.906] Capybara description has bad grammar
Post by: Jimyoda on August 24, 2015, 12:17:42 AM
Capybara description: The largest natural rodent, the capybara is well-adapted for steaming jungle.
Not sure how this is supposed to read but seems to missing 'the'.

"Bad grammar, Capybara description has."

You really need to keep your thread titles consistent with your image, Jim :D

That said, do capybaras live in jungles?

No idea in real life but they definitely do in Rimworld, my current colony is in a jungle and there's plenty of them around

Huh. I've always thought of them as more of a grassland-type creatures. Then again, I don't even live in the same hemisphere as them so I wouldn't know.

I never even heard of capybaras until a few months ago when I saw one in the Montreal biodome. It was in the jungle section. So in RimWorld it goes in the jungle!

Regarding the grammar, I think it's ok. "He was prepared for brutal combat", "It is designed for extreme speed", "It is adapted for steaming jungle". I think it works either way.
