Title: An examine tool/part of UI
Post by: Untrustedlife on January 12, 2014, 12:36:21 AM
Why is it that on the wiki i see these nice descriptions of weapons and things like that but in game i only see the names of these items no description to be had.
Either they should have a neat description/flavor text under there name when you select them or there should be a separate part of the UI that lets you examine things for their neat lore-filled descriptions.

I assume you are planning on this, i just thought i would say that I wanted it.

Maybe you could place gibbet cages up around the outskirts of your base and that would maybe scare off a few of the raiders but not all of them.

It does, how did i never notice that? *facepalm*
I would still like having a description to read of the weapons when you click on them (and of the other things you click on, like the animals, your buildings, furniture)

Oh calm down. On a board with 70/posts a day pointing out something funny isn't so dangerous. Besides that, I think mofful just accidentally posted in different thread.

I am calm. Laying back in my chair playing rimworld and stonehearth (-:

And yes it would be awsome to have more detailed tooltips. But i can understand it being one of Tynan's lower priorities.
I bet he is busy adding more awsome stuff for the next update.

Eh... it is called Hearthstone and its awesome* and I'm just trolling right now.

But overall I don't think we need a new UI... right now we just need more "general/important" things to be implemented, but otherwise it does need an update.

False, there is a game called stonehearth.

http://radiant-entertainment.com/

I presume this is what he is talking about, it is another dwarf fortressy game.

BTW semmy i am considering buying it? Is it worth it right now?

oops.... there is also game called Hearthstone >.<.
Now looking at the game... I think it sorts of outclass Rim World, but it is like comparing space engineers to blockade runner. Where 1 is developed, has a community, and etc. While the other is like a blank slate that is fragile.
