Title: No mods work at all
Post by: zekevalentine on November 16, 2015, 10:18:15 AM
I've tried multiple mods, all up to date with my version. I've even tried one of the mods to organize your mod list.

I made sure that the mod's folder was doubled up (the unzipped folder inside a folder) And of course they are in Rimworlds mod folder

After the mod is activated the menu won't pop up at all. As for my mod list, I keep my core file on (it is the first on the list) and as of now I only have EDB Prepare Carefully on the list (It's the 2nd on the list) I have tried many mods but they all do the same thing.

The dev console also goes blank after activating the mod and going to main menu

Without reading that whole thing... silly question, do you have EdB Mod Order? And if so is it 2nd on the list? Even with the error message you should still be able to execute ModOrder and then shut down and reopen RimWorld and it should all be set then.

I've even tried the mod that organizes the mods for you.

After reopening Rimworld the screen just remains black.

remove all mods and add them one by one.

I made sure that the mod's folder was doubled up (the unzipped folder inside a folder) And of course they are in Rimworlds mod folder

so you put the mods inside another folder? if you did that is the wrong way to do it.

As TLHeart said, doubling up the mod folder is wrong and will prevent the mod to work.

If you go into your mod it should look like this: (most mods will have a folder named 'about')

../Mods/MyNewMod/About/...

This would be wrong:

../Mods/MyNewMod/MyNewMod/About/...

He hasn't been online since the 16th, so I doubt he'll come back. Happens a lot... People make an account, ask a question, then after a bit never log on again, even if it gets solved.

Oh, you came back.

Can you post your mod load order, your system OS, your rimworld version, and the folder location of the About folder for any mod, all the way from the start.

Yeah uh... Our current version is Alpha 12d. You're 6 versions outdated, which is why the mods won't work.
