Title: Radar and Anti-Air gun

Hi,
I have an idea for two new buildings:

A radar to prior Raider attacks to be warned in time.
With further research could further increase effectiveness. (the time information is accurate, the landing point of the Raider is limited, the number of Raider can be determined in advance, etc.)
The radar could also make special commercial vessels identified.


In addition, an anti-air gun in the context would be great to kill Raider on landing to injured or.
(limited range, high energy consumption)


Raider could ensure with a high number of anti-air guns, to the landing site before tend to bomb (or specifically use free areas).

Being able to build mines where raiders are about to land is a real bad idea.

That could fairly easily be avoided by how much of a warning you get.. if it's 15-20 seconds then you are probably not going to have time to run a colonist or 2 out to where they land and build mines.

Then what is it good for, considering raiders have staging time too?

Why not alter the radar. The radar tells you if there is a raider attack if made obvious by the raiders(if the raiders are twice as large). If its a stealth group of raiders that come at night, that radar won't tell you.

That doesn't make much sense seeing as how the raiders take a couple minutes to prepare before the attack.  When they land you will see the amount of raiders there are rendering a radar useless.  Stealth groups also don't make any sense because you still get notifications of "raiders landing" and the raiders appear on the map making it pretty hard to miss them if you decide to take a stroll around the screen.

Now if there was fog of war, this would be a completely different discussion.

it would be good for hardcore mode later on when there is fog of war and you won't get a pop-up for raiders landing

It wouldn't be a hardcore mode with a fog of war, because fog of war was discussed before and rejected for the time being ^^'
