I was wondering if there was any plans or consideration of Oculus Rift support? I know the game is built using Unity and the projects I've done with Unity (all 3D) usually all you have to do is click a checkbox to change the build type for a VR application. Not sure how this works for 2D but I have an Oculus Rift (DK2) and would be willing to test it out if this was given a shot!
no no no no no. no. no no.
To be serious though, it's a bird eyes view so it wouldn't really work, and there's no plans for anything different it seems. I doubt it will.
It could still be 2D and look exactly the same as it does now with Oculus Rift. I don't believe the suggester is so much asking for the game to have panning/head-turning features as just the functionality of displaying with the Rift at all.
But what would be the point of doing that besides a lot of extra coding? It would look the exact same.
You don't use a fork to eat a soup.
Same applies here.
It's more like using a cup to fill with soup, to then spoon out. You can do it, it's just kind of pointless and inefficient.

I eat soup with a fork all the time, it's how you get to all the good stuff.
You've never seen my mom's pea soup then... yuck
