Title: Anti-Animal Turrets
Post by: hector212121 on February 02, 2016, 07:04:35 PM
Allow you to designate turrets to shoot at any non-tame animals that enter range. I mean, you have to keep them out of the crops _somehow_, right? ;)

you can manually force the turrets to shoot something, but i understand how it can be annoying to keep doing that. Still don't think that this would be one of the more important things featured in the game

Didn't say it'd be important. This is a forum for suggestions, not absolutely critical suggestions.

Besides which, theoretically, a herd of non-manhunter deer could end up killing a colony if not taken out simply by eating everything...

It also kind of makes hunting too easy.

What about an electric fence instead?
Requires power, and instead of killing it stuns.
With push back so the animal doesn't get stun locked on the fence.

Maybe a very small chance to light the animal on fire?
Small chance to spit sparks during rain?

Just spit ballin'.

Well, I imagine that after a while, animals would create little 'do not go here' zones. Or maybe if you let the corpses rot, the skeletons repel wild animals?
