So thinking of picking this up. been torn beytween this stonehearth and clockwork empires.
I think by asking us you'll get a slightly biased answer, but I recommend getting this game over the other two.
Its a great game. Try it, You might love it.
:WARNING: This game has a habit of biting and tearing you apart, Mentally and Emotionally :'(. Don't believe? Just read the Stories tab, There are some that are funny, and some that are Sad or terrifying... This game is hard, but really addicting.
Thanks for the answers just bought the game. Would you guys suggest rough or challenge first play??
If you're not familiar with the game, haven't seen any Let's play series, I suggest to start on rough. Anyway, you can change the difficulty in the Options menu anytime you want.
thanks again. ya ill have to read up dont know how to equip my hunter with a weaopon etc so lots to learn.
Select a colonist and right click on the weapon you would like to equip and then select equip weapon, also to get your colonists into a fighting stance draft them (hotkey R) and right click to move them when they are drafted, make sure you give them some cover too, preferrably a high wall over sandbags over trees over out in the open
I have all three games, I do not suggest clockwork empire, it gets boring really fast. The same with stonehearth, you can run out of ideas to do really quickly, although it's better than clockwork overall. I highly recommend Rimworld simply for the fact that it is almost always a different experience when playing.
I can't speak for clockwork empires, since I haven't played it, but Rimworld is far better than Stonehearth, and you'll get a LOT more time out of it. That's not to say that Stoneheart isn't a good game, it just pales in comparison to Rimworld.
I want to try Stone Hearth , but it seems like its much farther behind in development than Rimworld . So I will wait a while
Rimworld, with mods, everything is possible. :3
