My warg puppies keep dying when they attack something for food, whether it's attacking a tortoise that is a bit too strong for it, or blowing up a boom rat. I think this works well for the puppies, as they are necessarily going to know how dangerous certain fights will be, however in regards to both baby creatures and adult creatures, it would be nice to get notifications when they are harmed, like you do with colonists. A feature I'd like to see in addition to this is parent creatures defending their young; bear starts attacking muffalo calf? Mama muffalo goes into a bearicidal rage.
Furthermore! I'd also like to see the options to spay or neuter adult critters. It's all very well having a pack of wargs, but when you've got one male and three females, there are puppies everywhere. Not enough food to keep them all, and not enough traders to sell them to. So they often end up doing the above. But the puppies that do survive? I haven't got the heart to kill them :(
Do you make sure to make kibble?
Pretty much every animal can eat kibble.
Also, if a animal's malnourished, they don't give birth.

Wargs can only eat raw meat and dead creatures.
I relate , I spend the entire game with wargs in mind, the best solution I have is to have a den area with a frozen stockpile of enemy corpses accessible to them. The breeding could be addressed by having separate male and female dens.
+1 to warning when animals get harmed or die
and yeah, with baby predators you need to lock them in areas with food or they will just suicide

That is how I manage populations. The males for breeding have an isolated pen usually. As for the new carnivore system. It is strangely but morbidly satisfying... My psychopath led colony I am doing the story for right now has spent a couple years feeding the pigs with dead raiders.
I also need to ensure the babies get kept locked up. I am in a jungle and if I don't keep the piglets in the barn, they tend to wander and get eaten by snakes.

They only eat raw meat and dead creatures, even in-game description says that they will only eat raw flesh.

I have a colony with wargs where they're perfectly fine with eating kibble.
