I really want the game but my parents won´t let me buy the game because they
don´t know what the Pegi rating is.
I would love someone to tell me this because i couldn´t fint it anywhere.
Thanks, Edward2206
The game has not technically been released yet, and as such there is no pegi rating. If it makes any difference, my best guess is that the most likely rating would be 12, for animated depictions of drinking, violence, death and cannibalism, as well as sexual references.
As far as im aware there is no rating because the game is still in alpha, however I suggest having your parebts watch a youtubers playthrough of the game to decide. I'd say blitzkreig. Make sure they are watching the a13 playthrough though.
yeah watch Blitz or Quill18

both have some great playthroughs and are up to date.
WOW I applaud your parents ! It seems lately that parents don't really care much about what their children do , but yours do . :)

1+
I'd give his folks a *high-five* if I could.
Your parents are doing it right, if it helps I personally say that I would find this game for the early teen (14+).
For comparison for your parents, it's based heavily off of Firefly, and I'd say that Firefly is in all respects less child-appropriate than Rimworld is. Firefly is rated TV-14, though I wouldn't necessarily let every 14 year old watch that show. I'd be fine with most 14 year olds playing rimworld though.
+1 To your parents mate, not many out there that actually care about the ratings these days.
I'd say a PG-13 (Movie/TV ratings for the unaware), Since I'm not entirely sure of the pegi rating (Don't think we use it here in Australia) Not really appropriate for Teens, but it doesn't warrant a full blown M or MA rating.
I have to agree with others that I would give it a Pegi 16 if I was to give it based on the listed Pegi ratings. The relationships stuff? The Sims has a Pegi 12 rating and it has more of the woo side of things. I would say it would be a 14 if I was to call, or the PG-13 above.
But it has the violence side with referencing to injuries and blood proxy and the cannibalism side of things. Not gore, but is still guns and death plus alcohol so the PEGI 16 on the extreme.
Hope this and other posts help. Additionally, you can use different storytellers and difficulties to make it more basebuildy/less violence if that is a concern your parents have. It is a story teller game so changing how you play can negate that concern. It is possible to play without ever attacking an NPC pawn.
Considering how basic/abstract the graphical side of Rimworld is, it's hard to say where exactly it would end up on the scale. Rimworld does deal with a lot of adult themes and specifically hard moral choices, often involving the lives or well-being of others.
However, most if not all of it is done through text, and the language used is very neutral, i.e. no gratuitous descriptions of neither sex, violence or drugs. Rimworld tends towards taking everything in stride, serving up basic facts and leaving it to the player to fill in the blanks and decide whether some action is morally wrong or not - the game doesn't really judge or recommend one action over another, apart from basic tutorial advice (you need more food, you need medicine etc.)
If you look at the basic PEGI labels, I would say Rimworld ticks violence, and to some small degree sex and drugs. But as mentioned above, it's all very mildly portrayed. The violence is the only thing that's even a major part of the game and if not for the existence of blood pools (which can (and should!) be cleaned up), I'm not sure a child would even be able to identify what is happening as violent in nature. A fight would just be little cardboard-cut-out guys standing around and sometimes keeling over.

Well said! This game is only as horrifying as the mind playing it. Given that I have been scarred by this game on multiple occasions.
I was surprised when I had a look in my game library just now and clocked XCOM: Enemy Unknown as having a 12 rating.
Regardless of the rating, I think that it more so matters on an individual basis whether a child should be exposed to something. Parents know their childs maturity level and as such can use the PEGI rating to guide them, but it's really not a strict requirement. /Ramble
Your parents are doing the right thing, but PEGI might take a while to appear.
Remeber that rimworld is a great tool to learn how to administer problems, doing things you do not want but need to do, planing ahead and etc.
Hope you use it as such! This game can teach you alot.
As Cultist said, there's very little in the way of graphic content. I don't think anyone else commented on sexual content, so I'll do that: there's 2 characters in a double bed with hearts floating over them, the occasional character who is Gay, and animal babies (no animal mating - just pregnancy and babies). I actually know a family that plays RimWorld together, even though the kids' ages are all single digits.
maturity is about level of understanding, rather than "age".
when i was a kid in gradeschool way back when, i managed to talk my conservative christian parents into letting me play diablo, using logic.. so lels. ;D

Diablo is a game about killing Satan. I don't see the problem. :D
While it covers very odd stuff, its very simple in presenting it, so death and such is only as horrific as the loss of the victim. (losing a good colonist can get emotional.)
I personally think it is a great game for young people as it teaches resource management, critical thinking, dealing with delemas, flexibility, ect. Rating wise, even if the very vague representations of sex (literally just hearts over 2 sleeping people) drinking, and cannibalism somehow earns an m for mature, its nowhere near as potentially emotionally warping as say, gta. At least in my experience..
Overall i think the benefits of learning outweigh any attepts to have sex with someone by holding up paper hearts :D

my very conservative christian aunt thought it was about worshiping satan and was use as an example of how video games were corrupting the youth or some such nonsense. point being the his parents probly didnt know what it was about before siad logical arguments all they needed to know is there was a demon on the cover
It's funny that rimworld has zero graphical content that could be problematic, but at the same time has more controversial features than pretty much any game out there.
You can torture people, remove their body parts, make them starve to death, eat them or feed them to your turtles, skin their corpses and make human leather dusters, etc, etc.

It all comes at a cost though. You need to keep a very sharp eye on moods if you do a lot of "evil" things. Colonies can fall apart really fast if everyone gets too large a negative mood boost at the same time.
And not even colony wide. Just takes that one crafter, warden, grower, etc. While rimworld cascades are more recoverable than dwarf fortress, it can still be serious work to recover. In tough times, I have actually arrested my own colonists to keep them under control.
