Title: Eliminating Slag/Rubble

So, as your colony goes along and you go through many battles, slag and rubble tend to really add up after a while. I end up with pretty large dumps of the stuff cluttering up the landscape, such that the dumping areas start taking up a substantial amount of the entire map. Eventually it'll choke my map to death.

Has anyone hit upon an efficient way of getting rid of this stuff? You can frag grenade it, but its incredibly slow and laborious, as it takes several grenades to destroy just a few chunks of debris. Am I missing some more obvious, easy way?

if you REALLY don't like it there's always blasting charges.
maybe godmode sell...

Like people have said you can use blasting charges or grenades works like you said. However my save editing program can also do the job it's just load your save and hit a button. Yeah it's cheating but iTs not massively cheats just more a time saver and resource saver.

Yeah, piles of slag are annoying me too.  But I haven't figured out how to get a grenadier to lob grenades at my dump pile - how do I do that?

Press F on the person you have recruited and click on the slag. That should work.

I just get about 6 colonists to go out and frag it all. Some kind of rock crusher building would be awesome - you could throw in rocks and get tiny amounts of metal back!

+1 I like the idea of a slag crusher...maybe 2-1 ratio...with small chance of bonus materials(maybe diamond bits, or some new exotic crafting mats.) ;D

That would be ace! Sorting two metaphorical birds out with one theoretical stone :D

I end up using slag to surround any exterior steam powered generators to dissuade raiders from pathing close enough to attack them
