Title: Simple way to increase stack size?
Post by: katjezz on June 09, 2016, 08:03:48 AM
Im kinda annoyed by having to build massive storage halls on growing colonies. My current colony has around 19 members and produces an absolute massive amount of items.

So i want to increase the stack size of items to counter this. I don't like the mods that add stuff like nano storage because items placed in those don't show up in the resource list.

What is the easiest way to do this?

Can i just open, as example, the items_meals.xml, change the stacklimit from 10 to 25 and thats it? Do i need to do anything else?

Im using this mod:
https://github.com/Skullywag/ExtendedStorage/releases
It has two-tiles storages. Takes stack in one tile, and sums it on another) So it stores like 300 steel, or 300 plasteel, etc, on two tiles.

i tried that one too but it removes the storage zone where its placed on and therefore the resource does not show up on the left resource counter

The resources are still available to the colony and colonists will use them.
