Title: Animal herds that pass through like travelers
Post by: Mongoose McMoose on July 28, 2016, 05:15:21 PM
Large herds (20 or more) of herbivores like Muffalo and Gazelle should pass through in the same way that traveler caravans do, spawning on one edge and moving to depart the next edge. Your colonists have only a brief opportunity to hop outside and kill as many as possible before the herd exits off the map. Any crops in the path of the herd should be trampled and destroyed.

I would like that,
there should also be hunting packs for wolves, dogs and wargs .. not just maneater packs.

And according to the food situation those packs should seek out the best food sources on the map and leave when they are done.

The last time I suggested this Tynan said he likes it... and added Thrumbo.

What if they run over all your colonists when the animals migrate!

I keep suggesting "Stampede Event" (see sign) but I suppose Tynan & devs are too busy adding new features (as foundation) to focus on contents variation.

Please add my vote as someone who would also enjoy more of such events.
