Title: Qustion about hungry predators
Post by: Pillow Fort on September 03, 2016, 01:13:23 PM
so.. say a predator gets hungry and starts hunting my colonist.

does my colonist start running as soon as it gets near?
or will my colonist wait till he/she gets hit(and stunned usually) before trying to run?

The second option : wait till he/she gets hit before running.

Note that fleeing for a (non-bionic) colonist is useless, especially after being hurt, since most animals and raiders seem to all run faster.

Colonists might as well die trying to defend themselves.

Yea, Tynan needs to fix that. Your colonists run from manhunters, but if a bear is just hungry and looking for a bite to eat your colonists become oblivious to the 3 ton meat-tank running up behind them.

Predator-hunting behavior needs to be fixed period. Once they choose a target, they won't stop until it's dead and eaten, even if a half-dozen colonists are stabbing it.
