Title: "Long-term research" Bug?
Post by: rhtstm on September 04, 2016, 09:20:25 PM
My friend is having a problem in Rimworld, where he places down the basic research bench, set projects, people will never do it at all. When he tried to force them to do their job, it says that it's a long-term research, it needs 300 research points or something like that.
Any clue what's happening?
Thanks!

I don't think you can force people to research. Make sure research is the higher work priority for the pawn (except for situational things like bed fire fighting, bed rest and switch flicking). If they have nothing else to do they will go to the bench.

Yeah, else put every other work off or put research the highest in manual. It's good idea to have one single guy to do only research, if you can't afford that, well, your colony has bigger concerns anyway. The exact research stat isn't that important, with some passion the science guy starts to reach high stat anyway.
