Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me out with a power problem I'm having. So during my first play-through of Rimworld I heavily customised my start to give me a lot of advantages including starting with Geothermal Power. As such I didn't ever need to worry about other forms of power as I had three vents within easily defendable range.
However I have since started again, with no changes to the Rich survivor starting condition and I'm having a Lot of problems with power. As you can see below (hopefully) I have 8 solar panels and 2 wind turbines connected to 3 coolers and an electric stove. 2 of the coolers are almost permanently turned off. The problem is the high tech research bench refuses to be powered at all. I have connected it and reconnected to the power. I have disassembled it twice. I have moved it's position and nothing is working. If you click on the solar panels during the day each says 1700w being produced with 4000 spare in batteries so it can't be that I'm underproducing power-wise as 250w is all that's required to run it.
I'm 100% aware that the problem is certainly something easy and I'm just missing it so I'm hoping you guys can help me out with my stupidity.

check your wiring and be sure there isn't a broken connection somewhere. The little cables may have gone to a line that has no power running in it.

There was a bit missing underneath a cooler that I couldn't see without zooming. Thanks mate.
Pokerface, 9 times out of 10, or should I say pretty much 10 out of 10 lol, I notice when there might be possibly a bug, it is usually something I missed. This game is very clean of most bugs.
So don't claim stupidity on that, or we're all stupid lol! Welcome and I hope you enjoy the game! I find the heavy customization makes for addicting play and replay value.
