God i love statistics.
How many bullets did you fire
how many things of A did you build
etc etc etc.
Will there be anything like a statistics overview when you end your game by either dying or escaping your rimworld
Agreed.
Something like points 1 and 2 here (http://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=167.0) ::)

I'm more talking about numbers.
Real numbers
Number of colonists who died 13
Bullets fired 11.123
stuff like that d-:
I take it you never played Zafehouse Diaries...
The end-game diary (http://tome.zafehouse.com/) is quite detailed (an example (http://tome.zafehouse.com/q439bxu2)).
Metal used to make:
Walls
Furniture
Other
Food eaten
Food sold
Your colonists spent their time (%):
Idling
Mining
(Walking to mine)
Hauling
(Walking to haul)
Growing
etc...
Oh, I could go on and on...
That is the stuff i would love to see indeed.
I can understand it being a shitload of work for tynan to add to the game
No love for my links... /cutwrist

yes i like yer quotes and yes i played it (-:
and yes thats how i would like to see it
That just misses the numberslet me rephrase that. I would like to see even more numbers than that
The stats are on the very last pages (with numbers !).
The early ones are the events.
Yes, this is a good idea.
It sort of falls under the storytelling tools module. When we do this I hope to do it in a much richer way than just counting. For example graphic variables over time so you can see battles by spikes in the number of shots fired. Or recording the base layout over time so you can replay it in time-lapse.

You my man have way to many awsome ideas
Long term idea, but something really cool nonetheless.
I thought it would be a great way to really focus on the storyline is to have a Journal/Captains Log that documents your story (1st or 3rd person). It would auto update at every event that happened and write a random story to go with it.
Each log can have parts to it; 'Event' 'Event Reaction' 'social interaction'
Traits would effect the social interaction, so if someone was mean it would load a random phrase about x doing y. So good traits would make good remarks, and bad traits would make bad comments.
e.g.
QuoteDay 4 Cycle 1
Name1: "A group of raiders have landed nearby, I hope they don't cause us trouble. Name2 has been working on some defenses.
name3 has been causing arguments because she is so selfish.
QuoteDay 5 Cycle 1
Name2: "We fought # Raiders, we took down #.
Name3 got injured shooting. (Don't really feel bad for her).
We took name4 hostage, she was a {job} who was raiding us. We are not making contact with her until we decide what to do"
Obviously some/all of this might not be possible, and it would require random sentences to be created for each event (raid, trade, death, event). Just a suggestion :)
Been watching streams, can't wait.
Something a'la Zafehouse: Diaries perhaps? That game seems to have very detailed logs.
There has already been talk about this.

Looks like it was mentioned, but I thought I'd go into more detail :P
