Hi guys,
I'd like to set tailoring bills to "do until you have X" in order to keep a reserve of new apparels, but it seems that also tattered ones are considered in count.
I know I could burn old clothes, but then I'd lost money from selling them (although very small amount for most clothes).
how do you manage your apparel stockpile and tailoring bill?
What do you do with your tattered apparels?
Any tips?
One way to do it is to have an unroofed stockpile for all of the tattered stuff. It'll slowly degrade into nonexistence without you having to waste labortime/micro on burning it.
If you get traders frequently, you can still trade away the stuff in the that stockpile, but if not, it will enable you to keep making new stuff over time.
- There are 2 Mod's you can recycle appearals, Recycle itself and Veg. garden. At this way you are geting 50% of the mats back. Special very useful for tattered ones, to craft one new from 2 old ones.
- Mosttimes i set 4x1 stockpiles for just 1 kind of appearal with quality above good or better near the crafter. While i let destroy or recycle all other below good.
It would be nice if the tailoring bench could recycle material from 'used' or sub par clothing.
Install the proper mod, and you can recycle them.
Yes, but I'd like to see those abilities in vanilla.
It's by no means perfect, but I just increase the value of X until I have a surplus of untattered apparel on reserve. I've found it works for me reasonably well midgame if X is approximately the size of my colony (I also burn clothes < 25% durability, and restrict my colonists to wear untattered clothes -- everything in between gets sold).
I honestly just live with the small debuff for bad cloths, am I the only one who dose that?
