Title: Do map efects cover the whole world?

So, now that you can move your colony, do stuff like toxic fallout and volcanic winter cover the whole world? Does anyone how big of an area map effects cover?

they do not, move 1 cell and the effects are gone.

That only refers to the permanent conditions you can set in the scenario edit. Not to the random events.
