Tester Recruitment:To speed up our releases we need testers. In the first build we experienced realy large bugs and balancing issue that also sneaked its way thro to 1.5.
We need some testers to find the errors bugs and issues before we find them in later build so we can focus on bringing a larger armory.
The testers will be granted access to the project armory development build and play test and uses the weapons and helps us balance and find the issues before a release.

Not sure if this is a bug or you just have to restart with the new version, but I was getting an error on loading my previous saved map when I had the earlier 2.01 dev build on it, and the Lupara Sawed off had a white box instead of the gun image when a wandering group spawned with one with the 2.02. The other weapons seem to be ok so far that was the only one.
I think it has something to do how file saves is handled.
Cause the Lupara Sawed Off have been altered in the latest build. And when we change the file the save keep the format. Look at the save file and se the linking :)

I'm happy to do some testing, love the variety this mod brings so I'm using it most games anyway.
I would also be interested in running numbers for you, if it's of use. I create pretty complex financial & business models for a living so with Excel and 10 mins, I could probably tell you which weapons aren't balanced before I open the game! Can't really factor in non-quantifiable benefits (e.g. the vanilla T-9's disorientation effect) but since that's only a couple of weapons I think it would still be very informative.
If you think that is something that would be useful to you/the mod let me know!

I've noticed that the Winchester Model 70 is a little funny.
Currently it's shooting at 45 range 45 damage 100 speed. It's accuracy isn't perfect but is still very good.
The Barrett rifles are shooting at 46 range 40 damage and 55 speed. They have perfect accuracy. (which isn't truly perfect accuracy unless your character has maxed out shooting skills, obviously)
It seems funny to me that the Winchester is dealing more damage than the Barretts, because it's firing a .458 Magnum, which is 1/3 the weight, a smaller diameter and has the same speed as the .50 BMG.
From a balance perspective it's not too bad though. It shoots quite a lot slower, which more than makes up for it's extra damage per shot.
Thoughts?
Alright, after having another look at it I think that we should up the .50 BMG/12.7x99mm's bullet velocity. 55 looks and feels really strange when you use it, especially since the other sniper rifles seem to mostly be in the 70-100 range.

Support weapons damage should be lowerd. But I'll take a look when I get home. :)
So I was working on a formula that could be used to accurately find a weapon's "Power Rating".
My brother saw what I was doing and wrote a quick python script that will automatically check a weapon's stats and pump out a bunch of extra info we can't get on them without spending some time with a calculator. It's really slick. I'll be posting it soon as a mod resource.
Anyways, using it we can figure out how strong different weapons are, regardless of what type of role they're made for. ;D

Some things I've noticed:
Most of our shotguns are underpowered. They almost all have 4 less damage then the vanilla shotgun and also shoot slower.
Most of our sniper rifles are overpowered. They tend to be almost twice as good as the vanilla sniper rifle.
The PK, RPD and M4A1 Pulse Rifle are VERY overpowered.
Overall I think we should come up with a list of where we'd like our power rankings to be, in accordance to weapon type, era, etc. Then we can come up with target power rankings for each weapon and then balance in accordance to it.
Also, the RPD and PK should have different stats, currently they are identical even though they are very different guns.
Likewise the AK-47 and AK-74 are currently identical, but in reality they're very different guns, they just look similar. In this case they even use different bullets.

They one; might not work, two; lack stuff textures features and might even crash.
