Title: Missile Launchers

With the introduction of raiding other colonies in Alpha 16, there should be some more things introduced to make conquering the world more fun.

Missile Launchers would be great, you don't even need to have colonists in the hostile colony map. They work similar to sending in cargo pods. The further you want to shoot your missile the more fuel you require. You wouldn't use missile launchers to defend your base against raiders because the minimum range is too large to defend your own colony. They would also take about 5 or 6 times as long to refire as normal mortars.

Of course the materials to make missiles would be high because it'd be too easy to drop 10 missiles into an enemy base and have like 3 of them land and conquer it.

And the base you're attempting to attack would come for you and try to stop the missile launcher.

I just think that taking over other bases should be more than sending in 10 people with snipers and picking them off 1 by 1 until they abandon.

Uh, long range artillery to soften up the defenses. You know, if this will be implemented, it works both ways? ^^

It takes ICBMs about 30 minutes to strike any target on the globe. On some maps, that won't even be enough time to leave the map, not even thinking about counterattacking.

Let me correct that:
Colony needs treatment.

I like the idea, but if those ICBM's are nuclear, then it's more like a game ending ender.

It wouldn't be survivable if you make a colony outside overhead mountain. And they have so many more bases.
