Title: Poison as disease?/ War Cobras
Post by: Jstank on February 22, 2017, 06:42:17 PM
Cobra Bite = Poisoned

Poison as a disease status?

Could make cobra pits useful as a defense

Not sure if any other animals would have a poison bite

Nice idea, actually. I don't think there are other animals in game, currently, that naturally have a poisonous bite/sting. Scorpions may be nice for desert areas. Trained bees may be a bit too ridiculous :P Certain animals are also very well known for their infectious bites (Komodo dragons?) Those might be an idea as well.

Totally agree, poison could be a temporary status that lower consciusness, gives pain and tiredness, causes vomit for a determined time and can be treated to accelerate recovery.

I'd apply it to cobras and at least one of the tree insects damage, plus other animals if needed

Gland could be a thing you can harvest the same way of the syter blades and an optional ingredient for bows and spears.
