Just completed the game by launching a spaceship, Cassandra Classic Some Challenge (Should have gone with Rough Cassandra).

My colony was capable of producing advanced bionics, drugs, power armour and all kinds of weaponry. It also had 3 sun lamp farms, the design of the colony isn't very good but certainly better than my first colony.

My Geothermal Generators location! Should've dug out my colony near the geysers...

My ship, everyone is aboard (12 pawns)!

Mods I've used for the playthrough.

My next colony shall be located somewhere in the cold biomes, like tundra or boreal forest, and I'll try Rough Cassandra Classic. I'll also reorganise my mods, so if someone can suggest interesting mod(s), go ahead!
P.S Where are my forum spoilers, dude?
Hand me that brick (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=26077.0) | Colonists assigned to Hauling will deliver resources to blueprints & construction frames Haulers won't actively construct if they are not assigned to construction You can toggle this behaviour on or off by going into Mod Settings in RimWorld's Options menu
|
I can fix it (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=26623.msg269336#msg269336) | Destroyed buildings will automatically place a replacement blueprint that a builder will use to patch things up (eventually) |
^ ^ Both good suggestions. I would also suggest Fluffy's Work Tab (https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=16120.msg171779#msg171779).
It increases the number of priorities to choose from in the work tab from 4 to 9. It also lets you sort the tabs by the pawns rank in the skill. Useful for finding your best constructors or crafters in larger colonies. (There's a video explaining it's functions.)
A neolithic tribe building a spaceship is out of character. A Great Trek to the friendly AI spaceship would be more fitting. You can break the journey into parts if you run out of food. And do it the hard way - no transport pods.
Thank you for your suggestions, ArguedPiano and AngleWyrm!

It was neolithic tribe -> Advanced colony playthrough all along, I wasn't really interested in roleplay. Plus "friendly AI spaceship" never happened to me, unfortunately.
Curious, i played many colonies so far and allways got the friendly AI msg.
And when you decide to do the trek thing, start your colony at the southpol because mosttimes the AI is at the north. Then you got a nice long trip.
Set up camp mod can the camping easyer, since you can made tents and sleeping bags.
And when you want a challenging game, try out the Hardcore SK mod.

I'll admit it: i've never understood all the tribal playthroughs where people build electrical equipment and firearms.
Isn't the appeal of a tribal playthrough supposed to be the difficulty of not using crutches?
No the difficult from tribes are just a slower/harder research and worser starting equip.
The goals are the same.
Sure you can design scenarios with no hightech researchbench, but when there are still mechanoids, what is the point of that.
