Title: [Mod Request] Set which stockpile your pawn gets items from while crafting
Post by: glorymj69 on April 27, 2017, 08:41:42 AM
It would be nice if you can set which stockpile your pawn gets materials from while crafting and stockpile to drop the finished materials.

While playing HKSK which has tons and tons of crafting, I thought it would be nice to have this.

Crafter allways get stuff from the nearest stockpile.
And drop stuff to the closest highest prio. stockpile.

But don't forget a stack becomes locked when someone want to drop something on it or take something from it until this process is finished.
I allways create some 1x1 stockpiles next to the crafting table with the important resources for these table, and let them allways drop the stuff on the floor so crafted stuff stack up and a hauler have mosttimes less to haul.

This this this this this.

I want to be able to set this similarly to in Dwarf Fortress. Set one stockpile to take from or receive from another would fix it. Plus, this workshop takes from this stockpile and gives to that one. That might be something best for the dev to add directly. But if someone knows how to mod it, please please please.

I want to be able to make this work, but I can't seem to get my people to use the base system to do overflow either. Like, cooking simple meals, Near stockpile in fridge is for the cooks to drop stuff in, then haulers take stuff from there to the dining room cooler and the hospital cooler. How can I make this happen with the base priorities system? I have no idea if it's possible because I've tried every way I can think of and the cooks either take everything to the far stockpiles themselves, or take everything to the near one, then never fill the far ones.

Any mod that helps fix this would be graaaand.

I would let the cook drop the meal on ground, then they stack up and don't need to be hauled one by one.
At the cooking stove create an empty stockpile, so the meal drop on it, thats important when you want use craft until you got X.
Fridges for dinning and hospital should have important priority.
And another storage at your freezer with prefered/normal.
Maybe use Hauling hysteries mod, then the fridges only get refilled when more then x are missing.
