Title: Pawns hunting with an area of effect weapon stand in the blast zone when killing
Post by: doctercorgi on June 12, 2017, 10:33:59 PM
when executing downed animals they don't take into account the area of effect of their weapon and stand in the blast zone.

Tested with both rocket launchers, and also any mod weapon with has a blast larger then 1 tile.

This was quite comical to find out after forgetting to reequip my hunter.

And doesn't matter of the potential other pawns, tamed animals or buildings in the area of effect.

Pretty much? I wonder if I enclose the animal so that the pawn has to get close enough to shoot it (while its not down) that he/she will hurt themselves with their weapon.

While I can't think of anyone hunting with a doomsday, maybe they shouldn't count as a rifle for hunters?

Maybe, I'm not sure, for example against Thrumbo, they could be useful.

The weapon which should be definitively removed for hunting is the EMP grenade.

Okay, I think this should be addressed, not sure if for A18 though. Added to todo.
