Title: Picking Single Items from Stacks
Post by: desert on July 07, 2017, 10:04:18 AM
The thread title poses a more general question, but my immediate interest is in getting colonists to eat single servings of insect jelly.

Insect jelly gives a mood buff, so that's nice, but I don't want colonists to demolish my inventory for full meals.

Morsels, eh?

Honey is a kind of insect jelly, and it's great in tea...

theoretically, they will take what they need to be full....if you manually have them eat a meal, THEN have them immediately eat an insect jelly, i would guess they'll eat only 1 or 2

I fear the easiest solution would be to create a meal recipe that includes a single piece of jelly as requirement.

Spiced Meal or something .. it would also lower the micro to feed your pawns with jelly.

Or a completely different route .. go and make it a recreational drug.

Basicly i saw this kind of pickup mechanic at the HCSK Modpack. Or at last you can pickup half of a stack there.
