Hi, and ty for alpha18 release! I really appreciate the queue of tasks for colonists. Could you also add (or think about) some suggestions:
1) I really like the planning tool from "Orders" page, but it's hard to plan any complex building, because plan marks are only white. Could you add some more colors (e.g. 3-4) with some fast swith (may be buttons 1-5 from keyboard)
2) I think, that farming is unrealistic in some way. Maybe would be better to farm basic plants (like potato or rice) in normal way "from nothing" and some rare plants (like Devilstrand mushroom or psyhoids) using seeds, that can be obtained from wild, traders, and from seeds workbench or smth.
3) Hunters' behavior is really dumb, they are shooting from max range and despite terrain features (trees, stones). So it's better to rule hunters manually in combat mode. I guess they should locate themselves with minimal obstacles between animal and with range related to danger of animal (pretty close to peacefuls, middle range for boars/goats, highrange for agressive animals).
4) What about some more workbench restrictions, e.g. Low light, Mess around (mud, blood, stones, metals in close range)
5) I would really like a feature to add in options - a check box for tasking: if it's checked, then if I command a colonist to dig a single block, then his task will be a diging of nearby blocks. The same for cooking, building, and other. (for now, after they dig a single block, they just leave to their last task)
1) Seems rather unnecessary, would be better as a mod tbh
2) I do agree with this. With the exception of basic crops, I do think you should have to buy seeds for things rather than just being able to essentially poof new crops out of nothing. You'd have to buy seeds to start out, and then gradually grow your farm as you get more seeds each time you harvest the crop. I could even see a new type of trade caravan specifically made for farming supplies, like an "Agricultural Supplier" or something like that. +1 from me on this one.
3 - 5 Don't really seem that practical imo, they seem like a lot of extra work for no significant reward.
1) Agreed, yes it can be done by mod, but why not add it in main game?
2) Like Banished? Sounds cool.
3)AI improvement is hard to do and easy to mess things up. Partly agree.
4)I think darkness debuff is already exist in game. And mess around will decrease your workers happiness.
5)Don't understand, do you mean when you assign a job to a pawn, he/she will do the similar job around?
3) There's a mod for that: Hunting Restriction (http://marvinkosh.omniloth.net/mod/hunting-restriction-b18/) (also available on Workshop (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1204146321)).
Granted, I don't even bother to deal with the problem of clutter in the way, but I do let hunters walk up close to the sweet spot range for their weapon before letting their target have it.
