Title: How do you intepret the "Thoughts" screen?
Post by: xu on June 04, 2014, 05:06:51 AM
What do the two columns (green/red) mean? And what does the negative signs mean? I'm very confused as to why I have green negatives and non-negative reds.

they way I understand it is that a negative green (E.g. -8 Hungry) is an issue that can be fixed with ease, in this case by the colonist eating food. I believe a negative red is an issue that is critical and needs to be ASAP but may not necessarily be something that is a quick fix. This is the way I took it I could very easily be wrong.

Green negatives - they decrease happiness of your colonist.
Non-negative reds - they increase fear of your colonist.

Happiness and fear have start values. Fear starts at 0 and happiness at I think 50 but I'm not sure.
The green numbers are related to your happiness and the red numbers to fear. So if you have -8 green; -10 green and 20 red, they should have 20 fear and 32 happiness (if 50 is the start value).

Green = happiness
Red = fear
Whichever of them is higher = loyalty
Low loyalty = mental breaks

Thanks for your responses. I thought the green was supposed to be positive things relating to happiness, and the red was negative things relating to happiness.
