It's probably not a bug per se, but may be a flaw on the tutorial. One of my colonist is a pacifist, so I could not advance on the tutorial after not being able to equip such colonist.
Just pointing that out. Couldn't find any other place on the forum to state such things.
Sorry if this is not the correct part.
A (well) known issue that is already fixed for v.1.0.
But thank you for reporting it though all the same. (I'll close this since it's already been fixed by the devs).
